Bacterial Culture

Municipal and industrial effluent is the main source of wastewater. With the help of micro-organism we are able to degrade the content of these organic and chemical waste, as bacteria use these waste as a source of the food and energy to grow and multiply.

Biological wastewater treatment confines high concentrations of naturally occurring bacteria in treatment tanks. Biological treatment is widely used because it is most cost effective.

We offer a wide range of bacterial cultures both for sewage and industrial applications, we also customize Bacterial Cultures based on the parameters such as high COD and TDS in wastewater, these bacterial Cultures are formulated to enhance the biological breakdown process in industrial and municipal wastewater systems.

RAYBACT range of cultures breaks down and metabolizes difficult to degrade and toxic compounds such as phenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons, proteinaceous waste, starches, fats, oils, greases and ammonical Nitrogen.

RAYBACT range of Bacterial Culture are used in many industrial and municipal wastewater treatment plants to enhance aeration system efficiencies.

Based on specific application requests more effective bacterial culture can be specially formulated for given effluent substrate and/or contaminant profile.

Impacts of Bad Bacteria

In activated sludge plants, the presence of filamentous bacteria is a real problem. It causes sludge foaming, floc formation etc. The presence of undesirable bacteria can cause following issues in waste treatment Plant.

  • Low biogas efficiency of the anaerobic digester.
  • Poor flocculation and sedimentation
  • An excess of filamentous bacteria
  • Excess of phosphorus
  • Low nitrogen removal efficiency (NH4, NO3)
  • The production of unpleasant odours
  • Excess consumption of chemical products
  • In an anaerobic digester, foam production
